Privacy Policy
How this site handles your information
Effective 4 November 2026
Who runs this site
This website is Faith Betts' personal site. It includes a main homepage, a Marketing portfolio and a Theatre portfolio. "We" and "us" mean Faith Betts and the people she authorises to manage the site. This policy covers this website and its two contact forms. It doesn't cover other websites we link to.
What we collect
You can browse the whole site without an account. We only collect what you choose to send through a contact form:
- Theatre contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Marketing project form: your name and email address, plus any project details you add, such as your company or organisation, the service you're interested in, your goals, answers to service-specific questions, timeline, budget range, links or references, and how you'd like a reply.
- Your agreement: when you send a form, we record which version of this policy you agreed to and when.
Please don't include sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or identity documents) in a message. The forms don't ask for payment details.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, the services that host this site receive standard technical information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. The hosting provider may keep this in its own logs and may produce general visit statistics.
To stop spam, when a contact form is sent we store a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address alongside a count of recent submissions. Older counts are removed when the form is next used, so they normally don't stay for long, but there's no set time when each one is deleted.
Cookies and browser storage: this site doesn't add advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts. Signed-in site administrators use cookies and browser storage needed to stay signed in. Embedded services described below may set their own cookies under their own policies.
How it's used
- To read and reply to your message and discuss possible work, casting or projects.
- To keep a record of our conversation.
- To protect the forms and site from spam and misuse.
Agreeing to this policy doesn't sign you up to a mailing list. We won't use your form details to send unrelated marketing.
How long it's kept
We keep messages for as long as they're useful for replying to you, continuing a conversation or keeping a reasonable record of past inquiries. There's no fixed deletion schedule. If you ask us to delete a message, we'll review the request and delete it where that's appropriate. We may keep some information if we need to by law or to protect the site.
Security
Messages are sent over an encrypted connection and can only be read by signed-in administrators. The forms have spam and rate limits. No website can be completely secure, so we can't guarantee that information sent online will never be accessed without permission.
Your choices
Sending a message is optional. You can ask us to tell you what we hold from your messages, correct it or delete it. To ask, send a request through either contact form, using the same email address you used before. We may need to confirm that a message is yours before acting on a request. We'll review each request and respond where the request applies. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law.
Children
Anyone can view this site's public portfolio pages, but the contact forms are for professional inquiries. If you're under 13, please don't send personal information through the forms. If you're a young person, ask a parent or guardian to get in touch for you. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll review and remove it where appropriate.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new effective date. Messages you send after the change will record the new version.
Contact
For any privacy question or request, use the contact form for either portfolio.
